Happy Memorial Day...

we did what we do best...went to the park to swing. and had a great time swinging with daddy...(mommy is too old and it makes her dizzy~ daddy too, but he is a good sport) and then....we jumped in our pool and had a fun afternoon of swimming! LIFE IS GREAT! Happy Memorial Day!

the jamboree...

james and sarah came down for the bike jamboree on the katy trail and spent the night last night... today we had to see them off on their bike journey after visiting with them this morning and of course...the bakery!!!

lets jam...

charly's cd player from aunt leah gets used all the time around the house. tonight when charly wasn't feeling well (AGAIN) she got out her cd player to play her favorite music and dance a little. it did make her feel a little better.

13 months today...

that means we need to start learning how to feed ourself! charly has not mastered a fork yet~as you can see from the pictures! the fork never touches her mouth!

at 4:00pm...

...this should not be what it looks like in the koppen house! i thought i was extra special today~getting lots of hugs and kisses and wanting to be held when i picked her up... till i took out the thermometer and got a reading of 101.3! poor thing was miserable this afternoon and this is what we did all evening....rock, rock, rock, rock. and to think i thought she was loving on me because i am her favorite! :)

• ***good news though... her pictures from the "professional" photographer are done and we will get to view them on friday via internet.

on the move...

ok... i know people warned me when she was immobile... but I had NO IDEA! Charly has to go go go go go and when she finds something that catches her attention it is on like donkey kong! rocks seem to be her favorite as of lately. tonight we went out with molly, trevor and charly's friend lilli to colton's for dinner. always a fun time and with the energy she had before we were seated (pictures to prove) i thought it would be a great dinner... until we sat down and it went down hill from there. eating dinner with a cranky, fussy, tired and SPOILED 1 year old is never enjoyable (at least for those sitting around us)~those moments did not get captured on camera (we don't need to have pictures to remember that!).

we took some time out from celebrating mike and stephanie's wedding to try and get some pictures of charly...here is the result.

the art of packing...

I got out the suitcase tonight to start packing for our trip to Iowa tomorrow for Mike and Stephanie's wedding. Charly had a ball playing in it. Then I took this picture that reminded me of another picture I took of her with her bear back on Mother's Day. How wild is it that she could possibly make that goofy face twice. What a pistol she is! :) Can't wait to post the pictures we'll take on our trip!
