on father's day now i think of jared and the decision he made (just like on mother's day i think of jessica). without them and their tough decision to place charly with us we would not be able to celebrate this day! many people think charly is lucky to have a dad like andrew (i agree), but i also think charly is lucky to have had a dad like jared who loved her enough to want to give her more! (and believe me, she gets whatever she (or i) wants). i never understood how important mother's day or father's day really is until now... and i think for us (as an adoptive family) it is an extra special day! soooo.... how did we spend our day..... we woke up together as a family (which is awesome) and we hung out in the bed together laughing and playing and throwing pillows at eachother, we went swimming all day and had a picnic with our neighbors and friends, and then our daddy grilled us an amazing dinner! charly was clinging to her daddy like crazy today! while he was outside grilling (yes, i had to post a picture of our dinner), this is how i found her. i loved this day and i was so thankful that i was able to spend it with my daughter and her amazing daddy! i am so fortunate to have been raised by a terrific daddy and to marry one. (it's not every day that it happens like that) so happy father's day to all the daddy's out there mine especially! and thank you God for daddy's (birth daddy's included!!! :))
we started getting excited today about our upcoming trip to seattle so we pulled out some odds and ends we may want to take with us. a hat for the cool nights along with a jean jacket, some leggings and UGGS! put it all together and this is what you get!!! i think charly is totally ready to take on seattle, birthplace of the grunge scene!
i am a car sleeper. i love sleeping in the car. the sun hits you just right, the hum of the road, the vibrations from the tires, the ac on (especially when it is 100 degrees outside) and you have the perfect sleeping conditions! she loves it just as much as i do...it's something she gets from me! :) ***note the hand inside the snack container*** she gets that from me too! 
i'd say it doesn't get better than this! her face when she is getting tossed in the pool is priceless! and i give her form a perfect 10.

charly loves to throw dirty clothes down the laundry chute... and then when the clothes are all down, i have to shut the door because she will start to throw her toys down one by one! what a big helper she is!
